Mahyar Pedram
Mahyar Pedram, P.Eng., PMP., EDM-F is a seasoned electrical engineer with 30 years of experience in the vertical transportation industry. His career includes serving as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing at ThyssenKrupp Elevator Canada, where he oversaw operations with a focus on innovation and excellence. Mahyar’s journey in the elevator industry began as a field engineer, and his expertise quickly propelled him through various roles, including Design Submitting Engineer, Internal Code and Standards Consultant, and numerous technical and managerial positions.
Throughout his career, Mahyar has played a pivotal role in the successful management of thousands of elevator and escalator projects, encompassing traction, hydraulic, machine room-less (MRL), and high speed moving walk systems, from engineering design to manufacturing and installation. His deep technical knowledge and leadership skills have made him a trusted expert in the field.
Mahyar is a certified Elevator Consultant and holds an EDM-F licence in Ontario. His commitment to advancing industry standards is reflected in his active participation as a voting member of several prestigious technical committees, including the CSA B44 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, ASME A17.7/CSA B44.7 Performance-Based Code, and Section 38 of CSA C22.1, the Canadian Electrical Code.
